Right folks, rather pleased with my latest entry to 99designs.

The brief was a tad vague but thats what I like! So that I can literally pull a design out of the air and then see if I’m close to what the client wanted… It’s like an ongoing bet with myself to se if I can actually read peoples minds.

So here it is, the competition is still running so hopefully if I get some good feedback I can start mocking up other pages. (more…)

Hello folks!

So another day another 99 designs entry just to keep me busy.

This latest project involved creating a ‘funky’ website that was fun and evolving. My first attempt I thought missed the mark a little but was still awarded 3 stars “bonus”! My final design, I thought hit the nail on the head. But yet to see feedback from the client so my fingers are firmly crossed! (more…)

Once again another 99 Design competition entry.

I had great fun with this project as I basically had free reign to do what ever I pleased as long as I adhered to their brief which was flexible but gave a few pointers as to what they were expecting.

The SEO Agency had pointed out 2 sites which they liked the look of, which I loosely based my design upon. (more…)

I had a very pleasant surprise yesterday, after submitting my new “Showwy” design to 99 designs I was contacted by another member who wanted me to take part in a private competition for a facebook app design called Social Stork.

The main function of this new facebook app is this..

Social Stork is a new social moms Facebook application allowing moms to scrapbook their kids online, to share with friends, and to socialize with other moms. (more…)

So here’s my second venture in the wonderful new world of 99designs.

The target audience for this is those who are interested in sharing online. Those who already post in Flickr pools, Facebook groups, and “showoff your X” forum threads.

The client wanted the website to have the feel of TumbleR, Vimeo and other like designed sites.

Fed Up Bloating… Before a couple of weeks ago I had no idea what Candida was and to be honest I’m still not sure. But saying that I have learnt to mould the colour pink into a workable clay which I fashioned into their new look website which is taking the old designs place.

In the coming month the whole Fed Up Bloating website will be changed to the new theme. But for the time being it’s only the opening site. (more…)

Flame International came to Ollie Ford & Co. with the wishes of giving their out of date website a fresh lick of paint on a shoe string budget.

We were more than happy to help, working closely with their marketing specialist I created the artwork for their opening page. The main function of this exercise was to give the website organisation and a touch of flair to encourage visitors to learn more about Flame. (more…)

Roses and Posies came to Yellow Duck Web Design with a dilemma. They had some sour dealings with another web design company who tried to extort money from them in order to complete a website they had already paid for.

So they came to us and Yellow Duck claimed back the domain and started work on their new website which we hoped will meet their expectations.

Roses and Posies turned out to be the ideal client they gave us a specific brief which focused on large photography and galleries. I took on the project and it was turned around in a week. Happy client and a happy Yellow Duck. (more…)
